Compaq Slate 1U DS10L Systems Announced!! The Slate project is a server/workstation platform that leverages highly off the DS10/XP900 program. Slate utilizes a new 1U (1.75") high enclosure that will allow for massive rack mounting (up to 40 units in a H9A15), it has also been designed for desktop use and will support a 21" monitor. Expected performance of Slate is that of the DS10: SPECint95 @24.6 and SPECfp95 @47.9 We will custom configure each to your specifications. Stand alone or any number of systems up to 40 per cabinet. Choose your operating system. Tru64 UNIX, Linux, or no operating system at all. 10/100 Ethernet or Myrinet with sustained rates in excess 140 MB/s (1.12 Gb/s).
